Vision
Kure Beach Training Center strives to be the premier coastal training center by setting the standard for training support. Delivering operational excellence, modern infrastructure, innovative support, and unmatched service to current and future forces and interagency partners.
Kure Beach Training Center is located at 116 Air Force Way, Kure Beach, NC 28449 KBTC has a co-use Memorandum of Agreement with Military Terminal Sunny Point to utilize 80 acres of wooded “buffer zone” for training.
KBTC Facilities & Amenities Overview
Lodging & Accommodations
Kure Beach Training Center provides robust lodging options to support teams of all sizes:
- KBTC Barracks: Two modern barrack buildings with a total combined capacity of approximately 56 personnel, providing efficient quarters for training units.
- Cooperative Air Force Lodging: Through our partnership with the co-located Air Force installation, 1 - 4 bedroom cottages are available, ideal for small teams, leadership, or specialized training groups.
Classrooms & Training Spaces
We offer versatile learning and operational spaces to support academic and tactical requirements:
- Standalone Classroom: A dedicated, ready-use classroom space equipped for briefings and instruction.
- Multi-Purpose DFAC: A highly flexible Dining Facility (DFAC) capable of functioning as a high-capacity dining hall or transitioning into a spacious classroom environment.
- Modernization Project (Coming Soon): Our new Headquarters and Administrative building is currently under construction and scheduled for completion soon. Once open, it will feature modern administrative offices and multiple advanced classroom spaces to elevate your training experience.
Base Amenities & Recreation
To ensure units can focus entirely on their mission and enjoy their stay, KBTC visitors have access to excellent on-site support and recreational facilities:
- Laundry Facilities: Convenient on-site, coin-operated laundry to support training groups during extended stays.
- Swimming Pool: Available through our co-located Air Force installation, providing an excellent resource for physical training, water survival drills, or recreation.
- Fitness Center (Coming Soon): A gym facility is currently under development to support the health and wellness of our training groups.
