What is NC TAP?

  • A reimbursement tuition assistance program for actively drilling Army & Air Guard members of North Carolina. 

  • Explanation of eligible award amount of benefits Click here.

Am I Eligible?

  • Must have two years remaining on your contract (ETS) from the end of term date when applying.   

  • Available for use before attending IADT. 

  • Applicable for any school currently within the State of North Carolina.  

  • For current list of vendors click here. Don’t see your school listed? Click here  to establish vendorship your school with NCTAP.  

  • No flags at your unit.  

NCTAPS Tips for Success

  • Apply within the application window period.  

  • Check our website and follow us on social media for program updates. 

  • A complete application includes an invoice/class schedule (For returning applicants final grades must be included in packet).  

  • Take care of ETS dates and flags early.

  • Check your email NCTAP primarily communicates using email. 

  • All payments are sent directly from DPS to the school

  • Fall Term: August 1, 2024 - August 31, 2024 

  • Spring Term: January 1, 2025 - January 30, 2025  

  • Summer Term: April 12, 2025 - May 10, 2025
